Adopt a White Wolf From Our Arctic Wolf Rescue and Rehabilitation Sanctuary

Demonstrate your involvement and express your appreciation for endangered species by participating in WWS's adoption of one of the wolves at our refuge. Many of the wolves would be deceased or would still be suffering if it weren't for the gallant efforts of our staff, sponsors and contributors.

Willow

Willow was brought to the sanctuary in April of 2006. This character was born on May 1, 1996 to be with Havoc, who had just lost his life-time mate, Kyenne. After a few days of introduction, sniffing, and precautionary behaviors, the two older wolves began to play together and bond. They now seem like a match made in heaven.

This white lady can run as fast as our younger wolves and proves it everyday with her agile coverage of our large habitats. Willow is shy, but always curious enough to come close to see our guests and to eat out of our director's hand. This female wolf is a big eater, but certainly burns up the calories with her active life style.

Born April 27, 1994, Havoc was rescued from a cruel owner. This gentle giant has been the alpha male for years. He is a "big boy" weighing in at 150 lbs. Havoc is the sweetest individual anyone could ever meet and howls like a chorus of angels.

Havoc passed away on December 4, 2007. However, you may still make a donation in his honor.

Kyenne

Kyenne was born May 1, 1992. Now at 12 years old, Kyenne has a touch of arthritis, but still runs and enjoys a great quality of life. This lady has been a true challenge with her clever and bossy personality, but entertains us with her individuality. She insists upon constant attention, which is gladly given by all.

Kyenne passed away on April 15, 2005. However, you may still make a donation in her honor.

Born May 3, 2000, this precious and shy girl will melt your heart. She loves to tease and play with her brother, Odot. An expert swimmer, Journey will play for hours in the pond, while trying at the same time to get the other wolves to join her.

Named after the Oregon Dept. of Transportation, Odot has become a mascot for this organization and appears in many of their publications. Born May 3, 2000, Odot is a clown and entertains all who see him, including his other pack members. He is a giant at 150 lbs and has the paws and head to go with his large size. If you want to laugh, this boy is the one to see.

Nicknamed "Princess Toes" due to her prance-like strut, this little girl was born April 11, 1998. When she was rescued, she could not stand up due to malutrition and dehydration. Ventana is now the fastest runner of all the wolves and truly made us believe in miracles.

This beautiful, male wolf was born April 11, 1998 and rescued from a man who wanted to use his fur for clothing. We got to this wolf just in time to keep him from becoming a garment and nurtured him back to health along with his sister. Now healthy, handsom and happy, Nepenthe is a real "show stopper" and loves to parade around his habitat for the enjoyment of our guests.

Asabe

Our newest arrival is a yellow-eyed, handsome, long-legged boy.  Asabe is 8 years old and was donated to us from folks who could no longer take care of him.  Asabe, pronounced, "Ah-sah-bay," had a long trip from Utah and is now with our female, Willow.  His name is from the Native American word for "wolf", which is spelled either "Nosabe" or Hosabe". However, since he has always answered to "Asabe", this is what we still call him.  If you want to be mesmerized by a gorgeous and spiritual animal, just look into the eyes of this wonderful, Arctic giant.

Modoc

Modoc is the largest of the four new pups. One can't miss his his huge paws and legs as he runs and struts around the habitat. Modoc is confident and so sweet. He absolutely craves belly rubs.

Tehalin

This fine boy is the life of the party. Always charging toward the other pups trying to get a good game of chase going, Tehalin is delightful every minute. This pup is full of life and full of love.

Nike

This pretty girl is constantly making us laugh. She is full of antics and holds her own when play fighting with her packmates. Nike is a total joy and adds so much to our lives here at the sanctuary.

Sakarri

Sakarri ("sweet" in Inuit) is a spunky, active pup. This gal certainly has fun at all times. She bravely led the rest of her pack into a skunk the other day. Lucky Lois when she went in with all of the pups---all of them got sprayed--oh joy!
